This “blended intermediary” provides a variety of youth services in collaboration with the public school system and assists congregations in strengthening their community ministries.

City Impact’s founder, Betty Alvarez Ham, began the ministry by approaching the local high school principal and asking for a chance to work with the “pain in the neck” kids. He gave her that opportunity, and from those humble beginnings, a multi-faceted youth outreach took shape, involving on- and off-campus activities.
